New Bloggers Start Here

We All Started Somewhere

All I wanted when I started blogging was simple explanations of ” How to create my first blog“. Instead what I got was weeks of reading blog posts that were trying to sell me something.
It basically wasn't straight forward, even the so-called authority sites didn't have what I was looking for. Each one of them required me to sign up to their email list and buy their latest eBook before they’d share their knowledge. Needless to say I wasted a lot of time and money sifting through the crap.
I vowed to write my own blogs and give information away for Free! I’ve now got a number established blogs in different niches and each one of them fulfills this goal.

Start Here

I guess the best thing to do is break the blogging process down into bite-size chunks, for me these are the basics of starting a blog:
  • Blogging Niche
  • Blogging Platform
  • Writing Content
  • Blog Promotion
  • Blogging Tools
  • Making Money (optional)
That’s your basic framework to start a blog. You do not need anything more complicated than that for your first blog, anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong. If this doesn’t look to complicated read on and I’ll discuss each section in more detail, if your stuck already email me and we’ll figure it out together.

Blogging Niche

The first decision you need to make is what your blog is about? This is commonly known as your niche or topic, it might sound strange but plenty of bloggers fall at this first hurdle. It’s a common misconception that every niche is full with no room for new bloggers, I’m here to tell you that there is still plenty of room for a blogger who can produce quality content. You do need passion for your subject but there is no reason you can’t become the best blogger in your niche.

Blogging Platform

Most new bloggers have no idea what to look for in a blog platform, I struggled initially so tried the 3 most popular:
If you noticed there are two WordPress in the list it’s not a typo,WordPress.com is a free version that’s hosted on the companies own servers; It’s a great starting point but does have its limitations. WordPress.org is a self hosted version which basically means you will need to buy a hosting package and a domain name.
